Forgotten: No one can escape. A great flash emerged above all of Aronia leaving each with short term memory loss. Years lost to the fog of amnesia. Can no one recall? That appears to be the case. Whom or what is responsible? Panic has stricken the globe. Will civilization collapse? What will emerge from the reset? Only time will tell. To each citizen of Aronia from the Global Gazette, we wish all luck.
Welcome to Aronia. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Finaly returning to the reality of the moment, she listened to his words, hesitant to leave him with the creature. It lashed out at her as she passed, but was too interested in Alain to change direction. The queen rushed inside the room and whiped the knife free of it's sheath, drawing the circle around th opeing. The mater knife could creat or destroy, based on the perception and beliefe of the person. She could hear foot falls from the otherside, and the heat was horribly overbareing, but it began to melt together and heal almost, closing the hole, or portal that led between the worlds. Her eyes kept returning to the scene behind her, and to the creatures over which she bent. Mostly to Alain though. She helped it to seal though, by whispering the chant of the knife and holding it in her mind. SOmething whpped her head to it though, just in time to see a small deofrmed hand reach through. It grabbed ahold of her hair and pulled, Hard. The side of her skull smashed into the newly formed wall and dented it. She cried otu, and fell down upon the creature that Alain had killed. A l9w beep erupted from it's center and a metal clamp closed around her calf. She was in deep shit then. Wrenching her hair back through the hole, she stopped chanting and swung the matter knife at the grasping gray arm, cutting it from its owner, and spraying brakish orange blood over her and the creature that was NOT dead. It bleeped and gurgled beneath hre, somehting snapping loudly and sending a wash of air over her skin. She lkifted her voice and spoke the last of the chant, the hole closing and the wall solidifying. One thing accomplished.

The creature pulled her toward it, with bad intentions. SHe tried to escape, but it had managed to flip her flat on her belly. She clawed the floor and kicked at it but it would not let her go. evert time she tried to stab it, it swung her back over. A snapping sound caught her attention though. There were wires lose in it's leg, crackling with electricity. Closing her eyes, she spoke the words again, the lights once again flickering madly above them. The electricity pooled, in the pocket of her mind, and when she was ready, she turned opened her eyes, and let the jet go. Like static, it ran down the course of her body, and into the creature, zapping it, frying it's system and disabling it. Her human body was a disadvantage though, and she was rendered unconcious.

As the thing before him finally recovered, Alain was still standing as the glow at his back and on his hand grew brighter and brighter. Finally, the AI signaled a hundred percent, and he focused every bit of his mind's power into his hand. There was a flash as the suit dumped every bit of it's energy into the gloe, which was wired specifically for this purpose, and using his mind for a catalyst, fired the only truly heavy weaponry the suit had. His gauntlet split open into several shards, and each tip blazed brightly before there was a second flash, and a wave of plasma lanced out, engulfing the creature in its fury. The creature's very molecules were converted to plasma almost instantly, and alain let the field fold. There was a clap like thunder as, without a power source, the plasma was reduced to air, and compressed greatly from the lack of heat, making the air around rush in in an instant to take its place, making a crack of thunder, but somewhat smaller. The gauntlet folded back in on itself, forming a smooth glove again, and the power rods folded away, the winglike assemblies melding back in as well. He heard the commotion from inside and dashed in just in time to see her faint. He dropped to a knee and lifted her up into his arms, then carried her, easily as he would a child, back out into the hallway, where he lay her down and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Gwen...? Gwen wake up, please..."

Her body lulled limply in his grasp. Her breathing was obvious, as was the fluttering of her eyes. She would have been suprised he didn't get shcked a little when he ahd touched her. The creature, or Splicer as she ahd heard Alain call them, Lay melted against the left legs of the table. She had definately collected a surge of Electiricity. It took a few moments, but she opened her swollen eyes and looked up at him, questioningly at him.

"What happened?" Her voice was groggy and slurred. Her tongue felt large and hot in her mouth. Really shad a vague idea of what had even happened. Sitting upward, she peered about at the bits and pices of the battle, that remained. He body hurt, inside and out. She felt as if she had fried herseld. She may haev, but sh e would not die from it, she was going to die anyways. Things began to come back though and she looked into the mans beautiful eyes.

"Did you hear anything? A voice or some kind of entity?" she had heard such, specificaly remembering what it had told her. She didn't know if she should tll Alain, that, lest upset him. That's the last thing she wanted to do.

Alain smiled a little as she came to, and let his hand fall from her shoulder.

"You zapped something that was holding onto you, the electricity traveled, and you got a blast of it yourself. You're alright though, as far as I can tell... I'm relieved..."

To kill one of those things... the power surge must have been immense... she was lucky she hadn't died, in point of fact...

"yeah.... I did hear it. Said it wouldnt have humans in its city... that last creature used to be an elf. She... she helped me, even though none of the rest even wanted to look at me... said she was being punished..."

A tear fell from his cheek, but he made no move to dry his eyes.

"If that blood from those things gets into your blood it can sometimes change you... you're alright though, scan reads clean...he must have used the blood from the ones I killed to make more... Gwen this is bad, if he makes an army of these...? Even with a hundred warriors in suits like mine... these things are very, very tough, as I'm sure you noticed. They're what destroyed half my world and are after the rest. The reason I am here, actually... happened during a battle... but thats not for now, the point is, you said it was bad, and it just got a little worse... theyre a virus, they can be spread, and... no one here is protected with nanos like I am..."
