Thane didn't really hear a thing Drake said. His eyes fixed on the former master, even when the gaurds rushed in and were slaughtered he didn't glance elsewhere. His form, shifted, turning once again into that large hybrid form. He then continued on forward and went to walk past Isabel. He only stopped when a few feet away from the man, salivating from the mouth and visually trembling as he stared at the man. Furred knuckles curled into fists before opening back up, readying the claws at each and every fingertip. Those ears flattened against his head and a deep rumbling growl left him. He only glanced at Isabel, watching her for a moment in wait. Then back to the former master, his eyes narrowed, but the uttering of an okay from Isabel at the moment and he would slaughter the man. Yet for now he restrained himself and watched Isabel handle it. |

One strand of her mind brushed gently over Helmer's mind. She watched him wince and smiled. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right here and now..." "I... I was always so nice to you, dear, sweet Isabel." "Sorry, but that ain't gonna work. Anything else?" Helmer's face hardened and the smile that filled it became so sinister and evil, Isabel had to force herself not to back away. One tendril on his throat, the other on his mind, she waited for his next reason. "You wouldn't want to kill your father, now would you?..." Her eyes widened and she turned away quickly. "No!" Looking to the corner, she saw the little girl, still crying - still scared out of her mind as she watched Drake attacking the guards. "No..." Rushing over to her, she scooped the little girl up into her arms, shielding her eyes from the horrors that were taking place here. She turned back to where Helmer was still on the ground at Thane's feet. "Kill him. And don't worry about being nice." She shook her head, cradling the small girl in her arms as she stepped out of the room, over the bodies Drake had just taken out. Upon exiting the room, she noticed two more guard squads on their way - one from behind her, the other from in front. Without faltering a step, she picked up those in front of her while they were still down the hall by their necks and flung them aside, sending them all crashing into the walls. It wasn't long before she reached the slave quarters. Despite the fact that it was midday, the room was quite full. A pair of guards stood at each entrance... but not for long. Isabel lashed out at them quickly, dispersing of them. One slave woman came rushing forward instantly as she saw the child in Isabel's arms. "Thank you, ma'am..." she murmured, cradling her child and scooting back as if she were inferior to Isabel. "Ma'am? What's going on out there?" one young man asked her. Isabel looked at him before sweeping her eyes over all of the slaves. She recognized a large bunch of them, although they'd all gotten much older and weaker. "Your Master is not going to be your master anymore... Your new Masters will be yourselves. No guards will chase you if you run. No one who stays will get punished by the Master. As of right now, you all are free men, women and children. Go - live your lives the way you want to live them." "Wh...Who are you?..." "My name is Isabel." A number of the slaves perked up at her name and she could sense their eyes scouring her body and face, trying to decide if it was really her or not. "I, too, once lived here, but with the help of my late mother, I escaped. It was not easy, but I made it, with the help of a new friend from the outside world. He and another of your numbers are currently dealing with the guards and the Master as we speak." "Dear child..." Anette spoke up, moving forward slowly. She had a limp to her left leg and her face looked as if she were well into her thirties. Isabel frowned, a sad expression on her face - Anette was only three years older than she, and yet she looked as if she could be her mother. More and more slaves began to move forward slowly, talking quietly amongst themselves and then to Isabel, telling her of all the things she'd missed in the past 15 years. |

He winced a little bit at Isabel's words, but he nodded to Thane. "have fun." With that, he walked out after her, feeling just a little bad that the little girl had seen his admittedly overtheatrical display. But here came a bunch more guards... isabel took care of half of them in an instant though, which slowed the other half down considerably. So, he waited for her to turn a corner and the guards to start running at him again, before sheathing his knife, then crossing his arms and immediately whipping out three throwing knifes in each hand. The knives hit the first three, one in the chest, and one in the neck of each, and they stumbled, tripping up the ones behind them. Before the others could recover, though, he had bent his knees slightly, and was clenching his teeth and hands, in obvious pain. His skin dried and split, scales forming over his arms and legs, and the straps around his clothing pressed out, showing the shimmering, light blue scales as they formed. Claws ripped out of his fingers - why he wore fingerless gloves - and his boots, also held together by straps, fell apart for the most part as his feet shifted and huge claws grew there as well. He let out a roar as his teeth lengthened into fangs, and growled low, stoppinge the change there, before it went too far. He had grown nearly two feet, and was a towering monster, a tail whipping about behind him, still recognisable as human in some places, but obviously draconic. "You work for the wrong man...." Some of the men broke and ran, but others drew blades and attacked, yelling. He roared in anger, and leapt forward, far too fast for his size, and knocked the blades away with his claws, knocking them like one might bat a fly. Claws ripped through the throat of one man, who he then lifted into the air and drove his claws through the second's stomach, ripping most of his guts out as he pulled them back. Dropping the fist man, he saw another sword coming at him, but he grabbed it in his claws, growling. "Wrong move..." He lunged for the man again, and practically tore him apart with his claws, then took his sword as it fell from his lifeless hands, then thew it at the final man, impaling him through the chest with it, before turning away, panting. Isabel... hope she doesn't see me this way... He drew his hand back and clawed through the wall next to him, then fell forward onto his hands, losing control for a moment of his blood, his shoulder blades bulged and almost burst forth into wings, but he growled again in pain and fought it back. He fought the rest back as well, and the draconic features melted away, leaving him on the ground, breathing heavily, clothes hanging loosely around him. |

Thane lunged forward once given the okay. His right hand slammed into Helmer's chest. The barbed chains that dangled around it hooked into his flesh causing him to yell in pain as Thane pushed him higher up the wall until they were eye-level. Helmer went to talk but Thane simply roared in the man's face causing him to grow quiet quickly. Except for the whimpering he was doing every time Thane's hand moved. Thane reached up and wrapped one massive furred hand around Thelmer's right arm and began to pull, slowly, the screams of pain echoing through out the mansion. The sounds of ligaments snapping and muscle ripping as well as flesh came slowly at first, then suddenly as he yanked the limb completely off. Helmer would have screamed in pain again if he hadn't gone into shock. Staring at the bleeding stump where his arm use to be attached. Thane then slammed his left hand into Thelmers stomach, digging in with the massive clawed tipped fingers and yanking out his intestines to let them dangle freely. Then he simply dropped the man, leaving him to his death. Turning and walking out of the room and following in wake of Drake's destruction again to find him on the floor. Drake seemed to be bloody, his clothes torn and stretched but he himself was fine. He sniffed at him and smelt some odd...thing..not human. He growled in response to the smell, unsure of it, then nudged drake with a furred knuckle. |

He stayed there for a time, recovering not just from the change itself, but from the assault on his mind. He had never gone all the way, never even as far as he had just gone... his mother had always told him to hide it unless he really had to release it... and once Isabel had come to him, well, he didn't want her to see, either, even though she knew. Still... He looked up when Thane nudged him, and finally stood, regaining his composure. "I'm fine. Guess you ripped Helmer up, huh?" He looked down, and pulled the straps, tightening them back up again, then walked back and pulled his boots back on, tightening those straps as well, before he leaned against a wall, just for a moment. "Alright. We should find Isabel..." He looked at the blood that covered his hands, and shook his head a little, then walked off in the direction of the slave quarters. When he got there, though, he stopped at the door, and hung back, motioning for Thane to go in before slipping back behind the doorframe, staying to the shadows. Too many people... just like... he shook his head again, and whispered. "You go. Not my element..." |

Thane tilted his head as Drake got back to his feet. Nodding in response to his question and giving a grin the best he could in his current form. He then followed Drake. When they reached the door and Drake stopped Thane took a cautious step back then stared at Drake when Drake suggested he should go in. Finally he reverted back to his human form, though he was still covered in blood and was almost a wild looking as he was in his hybrid form. He stepped in and looked around till he spotted Isabel surrounded by the slaves, no they were now free, former slaves. |

It was hard to hear everyone, as they were all talking at once - not necessarily to her, but around her. Those that were talking to her got her attention, but only so much of it, as there was constantly someone tugging her shoulder to see if they could still see the little girl inside her. Despite her physical changes, everyone seemed to remember her - even those who she didn't remember. She felt Drake's mind across the house. Something was different. He seemed wilder, even moreso than when he was in a fight, which was odd for him. He was always so calm at mind, which she figured is why she clung to him so much. His serene nature was a nice change from her tumultuous mind, especially as of late, as she'd had peoples' thoughts running all around her 24/7. It was just a part of her powers, but she hoped that it would pass soon. Things were beginning to get hectic in the slave quarters. The room was beginning to seem more and more cramped as people started shifting around her, more people constantly trying to get closer to her to see if it really was her. She didn't remember there being this many slaves here, but then she noticed that a lot of them were younger, in their teens or so. Bastards, most of them, she guessed. Sons and daughters of the guards, who'd raped their mothers most likely. But... What had Helmer said before she'd left? His daughter? No. She couldn't be. She refused to let herself be his daughter. But if her mother had been a rape victim... She hated the thought of being the spawn of something to cruel and evil, but the fact that her mother was most likely a rape victim and she was not a planned child made that pain a little easier to bear. She felt a wave of something familiar wash over her and the redness in her slowly flushing face began to melt away. Drake was coming closer... he was in the room now, but not near her. Crowds weren't his thing. They weren't hers, either, but there was nothing she could really do about it now. Turning, she looked to where she knew Drake was standing. Her eyes passed over the bloody form of Thane on their way to Drake and she made sure to send him an appreciative, sympathetic smile. Once she had locked eye contact with Drake, she smiled again, a relieved sort of look. She wasn't paying attention to the people around her now - they didn't matter for the moment. Drake mattered. He'd been the one there with her, through thick and thin, no matter what was going on with her crazy powers. She was very thankful of that. Still somewhat ignoring the people surrounding her, she began to make her way through the crowd to where Drake was. Thankfully, the former slaves followed at a distance. They had never gotten a proper education, but they were very bright with other things, not to mention, they were incredibly empathetic people. Wrapping her arms tightly around Drake's neck, she whispered thank you in his ear and clung tightly to him in a warm hug. A few seconds later, when she parted from him, she raised her chin and turned back to the crowd. "This is Drake, everyone. He's my friend from the outside world." A good majority of the people murmured hello to him, though you could tell they were slightly nervous due to the new person in the room. "And I'm sure most of you know him already, as he just recently escaped from here, but this is Thane. I just met him a few hours ago, and yet he was willing to come back with Drake and I to help free you." Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and then opened them again slowly. Time for a bit more motivational speaking... Anything to get these people up, on their feet and out of this shithole... "No matter what you all do out there in the world, remember these things... Number one:Be kind to others. You all know what it's like to be treated like shit, so I'm sure you'll have no problem with that. Number two: Don't take shit from anyone. Anyone tries to look down on you, you look down on them. Anyone tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back. Violent, I know, but that's how the world is. And number three: Whatever you do, do it with passion and meaning. If your life doesn't have a purpose, then what's the point? So, just do me a huge favor and remember those things. I've always lived life to the fullest and taken my own advice and, well, look at me now..." She grinned slightly, which got a few chuckles in response. Nodding, she took in another breath and jerked her head to the left, where the door was. "Go. Live. Be free. And have fun, for gods' sakes!" She didn't know how much energy she had left in her now. Inside, she was slowly tearing apart, everything from the past half hour ripping in half and then in quarters... She knew as soon as the last person had left, she would collapse. For now, though, she waited for everyone to pack their things. When it was time for her to collapse finally, she knew Drake would be there to pick her back up. |

He stayed where he was, listening to all the people talking, and looked up, surprised, when Isabel was before him. He smiled a little bit, wearily, and put his arms around her, careful not to get any blood on her new clothes. After she pulled away, though, he intended to hide again, but froze at her introduction, hiding his hands behind his back, maybe they wouldn't have seen. Drake nodded his head a little to the hellos, and murmered one back himself, really no more enthusiastic about this than they were. Isabel didn't look too good though... after fifteen years he knew when she was feeling a little off. It was that that kept him nearby, leaning against the doorframe again and trying to regain his composure. |

Thane had no idea they were freeing these people. He glanced around the room a bit nervously before lowering his gaze and stepping back from the crowd. His face blank, showing nothing of his current emotion but he was not one for attention. Just like the majority of these slaves he was raised being punished for drawing attention to himself unless otherwise commanded to but unlike them he was also a display for the general public for a long time. In short he had simply wanted the bastard dead and to make sure that the other two were alright. Though clearly they didn't need any of his help. He turned and walked past Drake and out the door again. Deciding to take watch incase the few gaurds that were probably left hadnt decided to flee. Then he realised something, a rich man was dead in a city where the rich rule. What about the local authorities? Yet he made no indication of his worry, simply standing gaurd and waiting for the other two. |
