“Seven Years?” Her eyes widened suddenly. That was absolutely horrible. How had he withstood such torture? In her where and when, that shit wasn’t put up with, unless of course the victim was killed, and no evidence was found. She felt a great amount of pity for him. But times had come to change it seemed. And he seemed happy with that change. It brought a smile to her face as well. Nodding her head in almost a bow, he smile had turned to a grin. “Your welcome…” She found herself at a lack for his name. But then of course, she had never asked it. “What’s your name?” And then, Sonia was not shy to do such. “I’m Sonia.” Had been since birth, though her parents had thought she would be a boy. No such luck though. They got the kind with hormones that raged like a volcano. But that seemed so far away. She was only 23, though she felt like a hundred. Reaching out though, she offered him her hand. It was taboo not to in her world. She found it kind of odd that she kept referring to New York as her world, as if this were some other dimension or something. She really had no idea how right she was. |

Names seemed important with anyone who wasn't a slave. He liked that fact, it made him feel more important than he had before. He looked to her hand a bit confused though, the gesture not familiar with him. He stared at it for a moment, vaguely remembering when his former master had spoken with people in the casino and in public while dragging him around. Carefully he reached out, gently taking her hand, "Thane.." the words still barely audible. He still wasn't familiar with being aloud to talk and old habits did die hard. Though he did not shake her hand, as that was not what he recalled the master doing with females. Instead he drew it close and layed a kiss on the back of her hand before releasing it. Then he looked at her questioningly, "That right?" he asked, wondering if he had performed this method of introduction correctly. |

“Pleased to meet you, Thane. “ She said with a grin, after watching the way he took her hand. She had never met anyone like him before. Never even thought she would see a person like this. It was funny how life sometimes threw a curve ball. And then the ball curved a little more, and a blush rose to her cheeks as he kissed her hand. That, had never happened before. Not to her anyways. In New York, people barely dared to look at one another as they passed on the street. She nodded quickly, her other hand instinctively covering her smile. “Yes, I believe it is.” She could not help but grin at what she took to be his naivety, and found it somewhat comforting that he was not exactly normal. Normal people had strange ideas and bad intentions. She knew that from a great deal of experience with all kinds of people. Some wree alright, but the majority really blew. Her mind didn’t travel to those people though, because really, it was mind over matter. Sonia didn’t mind, because they didn’t matter. What mattered was finding out a few crucial things, not that she was…there. She didn’t know where ‘there’ was, but she had an idea that Thane might. He didn’t want to ask straight out though, because she would look stupid if she was imagining the change in environment. SO she would ask in a round about way, because that was what years on the street taught her to do. “Where are you from?” She asked, her auburn brows lifting quizzically over jade eyes. She had a feeling that she wasn’t far off though. Hiding her anticipation as best she could, a moment of truth had her way come, and she wasn’t exactly sure if she liked it. |

Naive as he was, her smile and attempt to hide it did little but confuse him. He tilted his head to the right, and then to the left. The free world was very different than what his experiences had lead him to believe before he was free. People were strange, not all like other people he had met. The man before smelt of something odd, the girl had strange powers, and this woman did not smell of anything he had smelt before. New scents covered her, possibly she was not from here. Then her question came and he was further confused, not knowing the name of the city as he was never allowed the priveledge and his first thought of where he was from came to the mansion from which he was a slave at. His voice lowered back to the usual whisper as he spoke, "House..Helmer's...cruel master...dead now.." he weakly lifted a hand and pointed in the general direction of the place, "That way...long run..." every painful moment of that run was easily remembered, wincing Thane rubbed his arms in recollection of what running while wrapped in those chains had done. The way she had asked the question seemed a bit odd to him, causing him to look at her curiously as if waiting for a response. He wasn't entirely sure but he was begining to think that she had not meant exactly what she had asked. |

Every action He made, told her more and more, of what she didn't want to believe. In fact, Sonia had begun to tremble a little. It was not noticible until Thane spoke again. Master? Slavery had been abolished almost 150 years before. And "...dead now.." Who had killed the master of the slave that sat before her? How could she deny that he was in fact a slave? She could not and it struck her, Hard. The trembleing coursed steadily through her body, all her fears coming forth to haunt her. This was what Sonia had always worried about, always dreamed of, with agony and horror. She was now stuck in a world, where she knew noone, and nothing. Away from her friends and family, her Boyfriend. The same could not be said about her clientel, But she was not thinking of them at the moment. Her emerald eyes glazed wih half-baked knowledge. Dorthy was not in Kansas Anymore. Slender hands lifted suddenly to cover a reddening face. A few heavy breaths seethed out between her hands as She calmed herself. It took her the better part of several minutes to finally pull herself together, but she finally found serenity, slim hands came away from her pink face, and a sigh from her lips. "Is this Earth?" Sonia spoke, tasting the words. Her accent made the words sound ludacris(Sp). They were alien and foul on her tongue. It felt wrong and miserable suddenly. It was as if there were a million bricks resting on the crown of her head, threatening to sink her into the ground to never be found again. Sonia wasn't sure if that would be so bad, at that point. The pressure began it's rise behind her eyes, with the realization that she was no longer in Brooklyn. Her now Alabaster face peered out from the flaming tresses of her auburn hair. She looked weary, tired and much older than she should have at that moment. All she could do was wait for him to either laugh, or inform her of what she felt to be the agonizing perilousness of her situation. Because Now she was beginning to remember a little more...This was not her first encounter with people from this...world...Whatever the fuck it was. Had she not come here on the run? It flooded back into her mind, Igniting something in her green eyes. Her Jaw dropped and she lost focus, dropping into her mind. She could not believe this... She had thought that only a dream for a time. How long had she Not been in Brooklyn? Sonia's gaze returned to Thane again and she shook her head a little in disbelief. "Where the hell Am I?" |

The girls reactions really frightened him more than anything. It was much like the times before he was beaten, the look on her face of shock though her shock did not follow with the look of rage or sudden aggression. He had actually physically recoiled from her for a moment. Her words were even more confusing than the sudden change in her mood. This entire thing was alien, a small whimper leaving him as he was flooded with confusion and fear, "You in sewers." he answered the best he could. He had no idea what she meant, "Earth?" he had never heard of such a thing, then again he was never informed of the cities name either. The only name he knew was his own so he knew when master yelled at him, and his masters so he knew how to address him. Though speaking had been a rare thing as well. |

OOC: Lol, I know, I am a slacker...Lol you can yell at me if you like, but here is the posty, better late than never I guess. Lol Just trying to get back to my characters. Sonia could do nothing but gaze at him through the thickening tension, her eyes wide, lost of the sureness they had held earlier. Her mind tried to force rationality down her throat suddenly, and she shook her head, looking away from him. How could he not know what Earth was? Really? Was he one of those strange degenerates from the wilderness she had heard about in the Weekly World News, or on Dateline? Oh, she doubted it...but rationally. "Fuck rationality...." She mumbled, and looked back to him, catching his glances and the way he almost cringed from her. Nausea cramped her insides, and she moved to reach out to him, but stopped. The last thing she needed was to frighten the only one that seemed willing to answer her questions. And she trusted this one, as odd as he was...she trusted him, that he wasn't like the Others....The ones that had come after her. Oh, it was all so jumbled in her mind that she didn't know what to make of it, But she felt safe there...in the Sewers. The whole notion was so absurd that she wanted to laugh, that long shrieking laughter that would have come out in utter lunacy. Sighing to calm, she gave herself a moment, and went on. "Please, I just don't know where I am...I'm not from here...not this...city, or whatever it is, or even this...world." The sound of it made her feel dizzy. Tears began to threaten at the corners of her eyes, and she lay back, on the dirty floor, putting her hands over her face. What was she to do now? |

He slowly got to his feet. This female was very confusing. He wasn't sure if he should run and get the other two or perhaps just wait and see how everything turns out. When she began to cry he instictively glanced her over in search of some open wound or bruise but he saw none. He slowly 'walked' on his hands and feet to her side as she laid down and covered her face. He leaned forward, putting his head above hers as he stared down in curiosity. The cheerful girl who had stumbled into them was gone and had been replaced with this one it seemed, though he knew better than to believe that. "You want me get others?" was the only thing that crossed his mind. They would know the answers to her questions. They were free longer than him. The odd smelling male was likely free from birth. Surely he learned something that could answer her questions. He sniffed at her and drew his head back. She definently smelt different, nothing like this city at all. The only scents that were familiar was the smell of the sewer and faint ones that let him know that she had been around himself and the other two. The rest was completely unknown, "You not from here." he stated with a frown. OOC: Bah, I could've done better but this is what you're stuck with. |

OOC: Eh...I've been stuck with worse, believe me...Lol Not all roleplayers are as talented as those I get to write with here. It's a pity. Consider yourself lucky that you can at least make sense when you write. The woman's slim hands didn't move from her face, nor did she sob the way that she wanted to. The horizontal position helped to keep it pent up. Her stomach fluttered though and Sonia fought to calm her heavy breathing. This was quite the position to be in... Her lungs longed, agonizingly for a cigarette, but she didn't need them...Now was as good a time as any to stop too, she figured. It would be a challenge, to find tobacco in this world perhaps. That was the last thing she needed to think about though. At this point, it was beginning to kick in that she was in fact screwed. Or, as they liked to say in Brooklyn, Sonia was Royally Fucked. Her breathing calmed shortly, and finally, she pulled her hands from her face Only to be mightily shocked! Her body pressed into the floor on first reaction, eyes widening, her mouth opening to scream, but she caught it in time, almost swallowing it. The adrenalin flooded into her body, her heart suddenly pounding in her chest. How had he gotten that close without her knowing? That, she could not figure. In her When, people were loud, yet unnoticed. Here, she barely stood a chance. It was going to prove quite the time for dear Sonia. At his words, she shook her head a little jerkily, and slowly sat up again to wipe the few tears that did come, away. She didn't want to mottle anything else. In fact, at that moment, she was considering, leaving, heading out on her own to figure out what she could. Remembering the way the Male had looked at her... Sonia didn't think she desired his presence. Seeing him sniff at her, brought a sudden lunatic smile to her face, and she shook her head. What the hell kind of place was this anyways? It was finally obvious to her that she wasn't home any longer. And with this knowledge, something had begun to bend, and would soon snap. And at Thane's stating of the obvious, she nodded, and pulled her knees to her chest. "No...I'm definitely not from this place. What are you anyways?" She asked, hoping it wouldn't sound rude, as it was not meant that way. Seeing as this wasn't Earth...He probably wasn't Human. |

The question brought a confused look to Thane's face. He took a step back only to give her more room. The question was quite a good one for him. He was a free slave now but the way she stated her question made it seem like it was not a what of placement but a what of whats. Atleast that made more sense in his head then how it might sound if spoken. Being a slave taught one to interpret words, though Thane's own abilities were lacking compared to others of his former lifestyle. His owners unique torture did not permit much contact. Still the woman had asked a question and he wanted to answer it. Though he didn't really know. He had been called a mut, he knew he had heard the word once or twice from his master and it began with an L but it was in braggardly whispers to his peers. "I show..." he took a few steps back. Unfortunantly for her, he gave no warning of what it was. After backing off a few feet he triggered the change, more forced than willingly. His eyes closed as he concentrated, forcing his body to take on the morbid transformation. The crackling of bones as they grew, snapped, and formed into their new shape. His skin rippling as muscle shifed beneath it, he seemed to grow in mass as well, defying what one realm might call a law of physics. His face contorted, elongating into the snout as that black fur began to grow over his changing body. By the time the change was done there was no longer the young man but the half-wolf beast that stood before her. It's eyes slowly opened, perhaps the only thing that remained was the gentle look in his eyes. OOC:Well its good to know there is worse than I out there. Then again its also a shame. |
