Forgotten: No one can escape. A great flash emerged above all of Aronia leaving each with short term memory loss. Years lost to the fog of amnesia. Can no one recall? That appears to be the case. Whom or what is responsible? Panic has stricken the globe. Will civilization collapse? What will emerge from the reset? Only time will tell. To each citizen of Aronia from the Global Gazette, we wish all luck.
Welcome to Aronia. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Sabre's face returned to its worried expression as Gwenefiere asked of her death. Had her face not been ebony, it surely would have paled at the question the Queen posed to her. "I uh..." Her voice faltered. Taking in a small breath, she steadied herself mentally and then tried again, much stronger this time. "There were rumors. Many were nothing but rumors, but some became theories. I personally refused to believe any. One that stuck out to me had to do with an angel by the name of Aven, the Priestess, and a man named Mathius. Another theory involved your husband and daughter, I believe.* Nobody's spoken of your death in years, though."

Sucking in another breath through her nose, she watched Alain as he answered the Queen's question to him. It was a rather lengthy, technical answer, but somehow Sabre managed to wrap her head around most of it. If there was time later, she would definitely ask him about the Phoenixes. They were strong birds and loyal creatures, but fighting in a war? That didn't make much sense to Sabre.

"The what?" Her head snapped back to the Queen, her eyes wide in shock. "Ah, yes, I've got it hidden away safely with Kael. But why? Why the blade?..." Her voice trailed off - her questions seemed to have directed them at herself rather than the Queen. Moving back over to the stairs, she passed them and removed a key from the small pouch at her hip. She slid the key into the keyhole of the door leading to the back room and slipped through, making sure to close and lock the door on her way in. It wasn't that she didn't trust those in the front room - quite the opposite - she did not trust the items here in the back room, most especially the sinister and sentient ones.

On the opposite side of the room, there was a panel. It blended in with the dark walls so well, that had she not known it was there, having created it herself, she might not have noticed it. Muttering a few words, the panel slid back, revealing a dark staircase leading somewhere underground. The truly powerful items rest in this catacomb area of sorts, like the Matter Sword the Queen had given her. It was also an underground stable for her steed, Kael. She could hear him now as she neared the middle of the staircase. The panel behind her had closed instantly, and so, she'd been left in the dark. She did not worry, however, for she was a member of an elite race of elves - the Drow.

A dim light flashed ahead and Sabre smiled. Kael's mane, tail and hair around his hooves glowed brightly in the darkness. Reaching forward, her fingers brushed the soft nuzzle of her hellish mount, Kael. "Hello, my beauty. How are you today? Good, I hope." Reaching into a pouch on the post he was standing near, she pulled out a treat for him and tossed it in the air. "I'm only here for a moment, so that will have to do for now." Kael caught the treat in his mouth with ease and pawed at the dirt floor happily in response. Sabre heard the sickening crunch as his teeth bit into his little snack when she turned to find the sword.

It was not hard to find. She knew exactly where she had placed it when she'd first received it and she'd kept tabs on the blade at least once per week since then. Her hand reached through what, had there been any lights in the room, looked to be a glass case. Taking a deep breath, she wrapped her fingers around the sword's hilt and instantly felt its power begin to throb through her veins. She must hurry back to the Queen now. Unsure as to whether the sword would be safe in other planes, she started to run back towards the stairs, her bare feet silent on the dirt floor. When she reached the stairs, she took them two at a time, which was all she could do because of her dress. Bursting back through the already opened panel (she'd spoken the words about halfway up the stairs, of course), she heard it slide and click shut again as she ripped open the door to the main room, locking it telepathically when it shut, the same way she'd unlocked it not seconds before. Before she'd gone around the corner, her speed fell to that of a brisk walk rather than the sprint it had been at since underground.

Smiling grimly, her fingers tightened around the pommel and sheathed blade of the sword as she knelt before the Queen, holding the sword to her. "Majesty," she murmured, closing her eyes as her head dropped into a bow as well while she focused on controlling the sword. She felt Althea and Virote shrink back knowingly, thus giving Sabre more power to control the Matter Sword's power.

*OOC Note: I started reading the Aven and you posts, Gwen, but couldn't find your death there, and I thought I remember something about you and a husband and daughter or something, but I couldn't even find those posts in the limited time I had to search for them. I'm pretty sure they were in "the_kingdom_of_queen_gwenefiere", though.
Wash: I think they really captured his essence.
Kaylee: He looks kinda mean.
Wash: That's sorta what I meant.
Simon: This must be what going mad feels like.
Kaylee: Everywhere I go, his eyes keep followin' me...

OOC: Alright. Lol I never got a chance to kill off Gwen before I left, so lets just say she was killed when the kingdom was destroyed last time. Your posts are great everyone! Lets keep this good stuff coming. And btw sabre, before you even brought them up in the posts, Vic and I were discussing Ry and Nexus! To close for coincidence. Guess we're just that connected. :D

The queen listened to Alain, taking in as much as she could understand, and found what he said to be relatively close to that here is Aronia. He finished his explanation in short order though. Turning to Sabre, she absorbed her words though they were not pleasent. It was obviously as hard for the woman to tell her as it was for her to hear it, and she felt badly. There was nothing she could do though and knew that the information was extremely necessary if she ever wanted to help Victoria.

Aven rung a bell though, had it not been he who brought down the empire with his greedy ways? It was her fault though, she had trusted him. Asking to woman of the knife, she grinned, knowing the the woman could not lose such a thing. As quickly as asked, She dissappeared, leaving Alain and her alone for a moment. Looking over at him she smiled.

"I see you two get along. That's great!" Which it was, as women need a few men around to remind them of the things that women seldom though of. Stepping to him, she rested a hand on his shoulder, and looked about the woman's shop. It was lovely, and filled with an assortment of odd creations. Something stirred within her though and she lost thought of the room in which she stood. A hot/cold feeling buzzed over her skin and pryed into her brain. It was good and bad, soft and hard, shallow yet deep. It was everything together, opposites combined. Twas the Matter blade. It in itself was her obsession. Having created it, made her duely powerful then any other creature, but if it remained in her possion too long, it would grow on her like an addiction. That was why she had brought it here, because her ever intelligent right hand-girl knew how to store spirited blades, and could fight them with her will if she had to. She felt it coming though and sighed as if yearing the voice of ones fondest lover. Her hand tightened on Alain's shoulder a bit, SHe could feel it coming cloer.

It was odd though, as for some reason she was worried about it, there was a kind of darkness that cast over it's vision. For it's vision was hers. It was in so many ways, like having two sets of eyes. Before she could hurt Alain, she realized her grip and lessened it, then ruffled up his hair, trying to think of something other than the blade. He was a good out. SHe liked him, well...liked him alot. He was after all the first person she saw after waking with the memory of who and where she was, plus he had saved her friends AND her. Unable to help it though, her mind returned to the blade. She could hear the whispers of the dead and not yet alive, which clung to the fabric of its genetics. The blade was infact made of living tissue. Without having seen it in at leaste a thousand years, she still knew what it looked like. The pomel was wrapped in the now dried skin of an elven virgin. It's blade made of Her sisters calve bone(can't think of what it's called...) Within the center of the blade, lay the ashes of her fatherwho had died in vain. Gwenefiere sometimes fancied him to be the life of the blade, but know it was a misture of all that had contributed to it's making. So in it's essence it was named Matter blade, as it was the one thing that could cut a portal between worlds.

Sabre startled her from her thoughts as she rushed toward her. There it was! But for some reason it looked different. She knew what had happened and there was nothing she or any of them could have done to prevent it. SHe had killed herself... Fear overrode he feeling of need she had suffered only moments before, as she watched the surface whirl around in grey tendrils upon its surface. She almost cringed away from it when the woman knelt to hand it to her but she was trapped between the knife and Alain's chair. That was the way of her human form though, and she realized then that she wasn't exactly herself. Reaching out, she forced herself to take it, feeling it's energy humm through her arms. How had she given it to Sabre after she died though? It was unbeknownst to her. The buzzing power made her anxious, but she pretended she didn't feel it and motioned the woman to her feet. Instead of just speaking, she embraced Sabre.

"Thank you my friend."

Alain laughed a little bit, and looked over at Sabre.

"Yeah, I suppose we have. I'm just hoping it keeps, and I don't mess it up."

He smiled over at her as she came back, though the entire room had darkened, as far as he could tell. It wasn't literal, just a sense... the sword she brought was powerful, massively so, he knew somehow... was it her touch on his shoulder? That almost instant connection they'd had ever since she reached him straight through his armor. He reached up, slowly, and covered her hand with his, biting down on his teeth only slightly as she clenched, the blade scared her, didn't it..? he closed his eyes, and tried to send her a message.

Don't worry about it. You'll be fine.

He opened his eyes and smiled a little, then chuckled and looked up at her, his hair falling in his eyes slightly - had been too long since he had been able to cut it. Somehow... he liked her too, more than he would have thought was possible for the mere minutes, MAYBE an hour they had actually spent together... still, when they touched, and sometimes even when they werent touching, he knew how she felt... was something very new to him, like his bond with Suchara, but it somehow felt even more personal... if that made sense. His sword shivered slightly, and in their minds leaned closer agains him. She said nothing, but Alain was sure it was the blade - Suchara was as apprehensive as the rest of them were about this weapon. Was it sentient as well..? Made sense that it was, a powerful weapon could be controlled, but a powerful weapon that also thought for itself was to be feared, as they seemed to fear this thing. When Gwen took it, he put his hand back down on the couch, and watched, breathing a silent sigh of relief shen she took it without incident. Suchara, of course, pretended that she had not worried.

Don't know what everyone's so scared of...

Oh, come off it, suchara, you were as worried as anyone.

Hmph.

Alain smiled slightly and drank the last of his tea, no longer worried. But why did Gwen seem so worried about who she was, her very existance...? There were a few odd things about her, she was supposed to be a vampire as he knew it, and yet she was not at all cold, in temperature or temperament, and he hed felt her pulse dimly in her touch. Perhaps her rebirth had made her human again...? The news that she had died didn't surprise him, he had heard of that, and somehow neither did the fact that she returned surprise him - he didn't think she was the type to let death keep her down at all... a strong woman, and lovely besides... no, dammit. He kicked himself a little, mentally. Small gestures of affection aside, he was dealing here with a Queen, best not to let his own thoughts intrude on his rationality.

They eyes of the avatar flickered to life, the light aquatic glow emiting from it's eyes as well as the symbol on it's chest and the gems on his armor. it found one, the woman who had pulled him from the anti-magic field. Her magic still connected them, and in her current state she would be exceptionally easy to manipulate. It remained standing there, waiting, other presences could be sensed. A power near it's own, no, perhaps it surpassed it, a blade, yes...it would do. With the gaurds and the queen gone it seemed that the barrier that had dappened his abilities was disabled for a moment. It was the time time to act.
Tracing the magic back to it's user, the priestess, he began to force a link. ~We must be released. Free us, dispose of any gaurds and threats first~ the command was given, now It would wait.

As the Queen took the blade from her finally, Sabre let out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding. Althea and Virote returned to her mind slowly, Althea sending comforting waves through Sabre's brain to calm her down. She knew that the sword had been hard for Sabre to control, so she cooed quietly, trying to get her to relax again.

The Queen's next action made Sabre's body go rigid again, but only for a split second. She relaxed in the woman's embrace fully, a small sigh of relief leaving her lips. She was no longer required to watch that damned sword. It was as if the world had been lifted off her back - and another had been put on. Now that the Queen was in control of the weapon, Sabre had to make sure she didn't get too obsessed with it. She didn't know what kind of power the sword had, but it was much more powerful than she.. and with it in the hands of the most powerful vampyre in the realm... The consequences could be disastrous, she knew. So she made sure to keep a tab on the Queen's emotions constantly, every time she would see her, she would check. If the Queen changed at all, even the slightest thing, Sabre would confront her. She could not risk being polite and holding back when any minute could be the last before the Queen's breaking point.

Sabre's eyes moved over to Alain when she and the Queen broke apart only a second after they'd started the hug. She saw the way he looked to the Queen longingly. Whether she would let him get closer to her Majesty, she did not know. He was a stranger here and the last time someone had a special connection with the Queen... well, the Queen was finally back again and she wouldn't let her leave this time, no matter what kind of Hell Sabre had to go through in order to keep her safe.

"If your Majesty wishes, I can order up a search party... We can search the city and the borders around us for the High Priest. He may be gone for good, but we should at least give it a try, should we not?"
Wash: I think they really captured his essence.
Kaylee: He looks kinda mean.
Wash: That's sorta what I meant.
Simon: This must be what going mad feels like.
Kaylee: Everywhere I go, his eyes keep followin' me...

If one were to look into Victoria’s mind, the images would move too quickly to comprehend. To Victoria, everything was clear. The anger that had flooded her senses, the destruction she wished to deliver, it had a focus; a starting point. A gypsy child, Victoria was again thirteen. Night. Around a campfire, their traveling family, though few by blood or marriage, danced, sang and played melodies with their beautiful hand made instruments. Victoria was dancing and clapping around the fire, her skirt flowing with the movements of her body. She looked to the smiling face of her mother, who clapped to the music as well. The sight of happiness on her mothers face warmed Victoria’s heart. The song ended and the group cheered. Walking back to her mother, the musicians began to play again, much slower. A tug on Victoria’s arm stopped her stride and she turned. Looking up into the familiar face, Victoria blushed.

“Dance with me!” Victoria nodded. Nexus was three years her senior and had joined their caravan only a year prior. Since the day she set her eyes on him, Victoria had a crush. There was no way to resist his offer. He had pulled her close to him as they danced, even in her youth, knew of and desired a companion. Simply someone to confide in and have confide in her. They danced for a few minutes before she heard the snapping of a tree in the woods. Nobody else seemed to notice, so she returned her attention back to her dance partner. A howl far off in the woods, chilled the girl and she shivered. Nexus had noticed and held her closer. A scream pierced the air, sending the crowd into a panic.

“Victoria!” Her mother yelled. Whipping her head around, Victoria saw the wolven beasts, which ran on two legs. Screaming from the monster, Victoria knew what was to happen..

“Mama! NO!” She yelled, searching frantically for a weapon.

“Victoria!” Nexus tried to pull her away. “Run!”

“NO!” She screamed at him. Finding a small knife near the pans used to cook over the fire. Victoria ran towards the beast that was mauling a young girl. Jumping on it’s back, Victoria slid the knife across it’s neck. Hot blood spilled through her fingers. Falling to the ground, with the creature, Victoria rolled off and stood to find another. The girl who had been attacked lay still, eyes glazed and mouth agape in terror. Many bodies lay on the ground. Victoria saw another beast searching through a makeshift tent, the person inside screaming at the sudden interruption. The reflection of the fire exposed the silhouettes of the creature and occupant. Creeping up to the tent, Victoria waited until the creature’s back was to her. Leaping, Victoria plunged the knife into the back of the monster. If not dead the creature was paralyzed as it did not move. The person in the tent moved no longer either. Looking around, there was one last beast, and it was on the heels of her mother. Screaming, Victoria ran towards the final assailant. The creature caught her mother, sniffing her. Next, her mother’s body was thrown to the ground. With a sickening break of bone, the woman lay still. Charging the creature, Victoria caught the beast by surprise, and they toppled over. The knife fell out of Victoria’s hand. Scrambling for the blade, the woven creature grabbed hold of Victoria’s ankle and began to drag her across the ground. Outstretching in one final attempt, her fingers pulled the knife into reach. Grabbing it, she turned towards the creature, and lifted herself to a sitting position. The knife caught the wrist at her ankle, hitting the bone deep in. Letting out a howl of pain, it released her.

Freed, Victoria lunged again, catching the beast off guard. Stabbing repeatedly, Victoria did not stop even as the creature lay motionless. She cut the animal until it was no more than a bloody pulp. Tears and blood stained her face as she cried in agony. Unfortunately for Victoria, it was only a dream. The actual event was the same, except for Victoria killing the beasts. She was in fact kidnapped. Any who saw her unconscious body would witness her hands grasping the cloth beneath them, her face contorting in rage. After the dream subsided, Visions of lightening destroyed homes and the screams of the inhabitants, a raging war with limbs being lopped off by heavy swords and rats eating prisoners alive, tortured her mind. The body of Victoria lay in perfect health. Her own aura a storm of energy. For those who view aura through colors, a raging mix of crimson, pitch and turquoise. Consumed her. Consciousness did not appear to return to Victoria any time soon. She lay comatose and did not even realize. The almost aqua-marine color slowly capitulated the other two colors, the effects of such proving bleak. And there came a voice, a voice so calming and urgent that her mind welcomed it, calling back and bring it forth and to her.

OOC: Lol I forgot it was my turn! Im a moron. *Shakes head at herself*

The queen lifted the blade to her face at about eye level, admireing it's scratch-free surface that glimered like moon pearl in the soft lighting. The energy propelled itself through her veins and muscles, latching on with it's invisible tentacles. She controled it though and it would free her as she wished. She was it's maker, thus it's senior, and it would not tread foul waters with the woman. Moving back to the table, she set it on the surface, her eyes never leaving it and nodded.

"Yes, send out four disbatches of ten men, one to each pole (North, South, East West.). Have them circles srtaight and then create eight groups to just scour the woods." She looked up to the woman at last, worry creasing her face. "We must have the city searched, even the mechanisms below. Last I knew there about a thousand gaurds, here in the city..." She pondered the equation. "SO send a hundred through the lower boarders. I doubt they will be here in the city, but have the rest of the gaurds check homes and shops. Have them check everything."

Turning to Alain, she searched his face, remembering his appearance in her world. She smiled and stepped to him, taking him by the arm and pulling him up from the chair. He would have to go with them to the prison and the castle to search, and hope they find something.

"We will walk with you to the main Barracks and then we all should go and check the Big House and the jail. There has to be an explanation for the shock. we find nothing else, we know who it is..." Her mind trailed to the being that now sat in a room down the hall from hers. It frightened her a bit, but it did not seem like it was the right source. She had been wrong before though. Only time would tell...

OOC Note: I'm going to be starting up a different thread for Sabre since she's going to be leaving Gwen and Alain. Not sure what it's going to be called as of right now because I haven't actually made it, but it shouldn't be hard to miss. :P

The connection made, there was almost a sense of relief. The images that traced through this Priestess' head were memories it would seem. An object of her affection found. It spoke to her in the voice of this Nexus, "Victoria, I have come for you but they are keeping me from you. I need you to release me from this cell but first you must dispose of the gaurds so they will not interfere." the armor twisting it's magic to give an ambience of relief and comfort coming from the whisper of words that traveled to her.
"Remember the dance, when we first held each other." though it was not sure if the image was a memory or a simple dream, it would be as real for either purpose. Knowing that this female was already too weak to resist, such a thing could easily be suggested to be a happening of the past. Just so long as he could assert his authority over her before the Queen, the other woman, or that mechanical man came back. This plan was developing nicely. But that was the troubling aspect for it, now it was planing when before it simply obeyed. Such details would need further inspection in a later time. It was not a time to let his mind wander, the delicate magic linking it to her could let thoughts drift if it wasn't careful. No mistake, it concentrated on the image of Nexus, the image appearing to Victoria with outstretched arms, "My love, help me." then the image disapeared leaving only the need to come to him.
