OOC: I'll pretend it didn't happen.
*hops back IC* One brow perked up at Natalie's request, but Tevy sent her a grin. "Half a shot comin' right up." All she needed to do was reach just a little to her left below the counter, until her fingers wrapped around the liquor bottle. Bringing it back up, she tipped it to the side some, letting the liquid fall into the Shirley Temple. After a second, she tipped the bottle back up and, popping the cap back on, returned it to it's spot on the shelf. Natalie was speaking to her again. Tevy blushed at what she said. She thought she, Tevy, the average girl who'd been working her ass off here at this bar for god knows how many years now, was beautiful? Perhaps it was getting too hot here in the casino. Clearing her throat some, she tried to smile and act natural, shaking her head. "I've seen others dance, but I've never tried it myself. The only dancing I do is when I'm in a fight." She gave Natalie a rather timid smile before seeing another customer walk up. Weaving her way over boxes and around the few stools placed on her side of the counter, she stopped in front of the man. She took his order and quickly began gathering the supplies. He'd been ordering not only for himself, but for his whole table, so there were quite a few drinks to be made. As she gathered the materials for the four drinks, she placed them on the counter in front of Keene Jada. One bottle in particular which she needed for one of the drinks was rather high up. Dropping her small towel onto the counter, she hopped onto a box and then to the top of the counter herself in one swift movement. Though she claimed she didn't dance, the way she moved behind the bar was rhythmic and her movements were all smooth. In short, she made it look easy, but any dancer who'd been dancing for years would be able to make their dance look easy. It wasn't any different for Tevy's bartending. The drinks were done in record time. The man, obviously pleased with both her skills in mixing drinks and the way she'd moved around the bar, made sure to tip her well. Giving him a thankful smile, she returned to her post near Brass, Chase and Natalie. Her eyes landed on Brass for a moment, but they quickly moved back to Natalie and the slight blush returned. "I think if I tried any sort of taming with that one I might lose my job. And I can't lose my job," she laughed, "espcially because it's the only thing I look forward to everyday when I wake up." "Wait a second... I think this might be a moment to remember." She sent Chase a grin. "How about a Shirley Temple? They can be served both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Or there's always soda... Milk, water, juice... Tea, sweet tea, lemonade... or perhaps a mixture of any of the drinks I just mentioned." Chuckling quietly, she awaited his choice. OOC: Pfft! Like I ever pay attention to those things. LoL. Ah well. Es mi culpa. Lo siento. At least I admitted my mistake and fixed my post, didn't I? OOC...again: WoW. When I first posted this, I completely didn't realize that Chase had said "something NON-alcoholic that doesn't want to pretend that it IS alcoholic"... SOOOOOOO... I went back and changed that last paragraph for ya. Good thing no one's posted yet, eh?! LoL *blushes and scurries off* |

Tevy’s Smile softened his features, and Brass returned the gesture. He knew that she was loyal to his instructions, even if the lowered alcohol may be detrimental to her tips. In this case, only beneficial. He respected that about Tevy. Hell, he respected everything about her. Brass smirked as chase replied. He was ‘working’ on Kiri. Brass himself had encountered a few women who needed a little persuasion. Brass patted Chase on the back. “Understood, Thanks for the heads up.” as delicious as Kiri was, Brass never found it necessary to ‘hunt’ a female that another man had their sights on. There were more that enough women for the both of them. As the newly added stage was suiting it’s purpose, Brass watched the performance. The star, Natalie Cabarette, Brass had hired himself. Her interview had pleased him in more than one way. The show she had put on was enjoyed by the crowd, the hoots and hollers eased any doubts financial failure. Her act was entertaining, to say the least, for those who had never seen her body move in such a manner, nor touched her flesh, but Brass had and was devoice the desire to do so again. It wasn’t that she lacked in skill, Natalie was simply another Harlot. There was a time when that was all Brass wanted. Lately, he found it pointless. Women who held honor, Now those were a different class. But in the meantime, he may as well take advantage of the sex appeal. Natalies approach to Brass surprised him slightly. Her hand on his thigh and breath in his ear, didn’t arouse him in any sense of the word. “Yesterday’s trash…” He muttered barely audible. Brass finished his drink and set the glass on the bar. He tensed as the men approached and confronted the bouncer. He knew Chase would handle himself, but he was ready regardless. Proving so, Brass almost laughed at the simplicity of overcoming the group. Eyeing the unconscious men, Brass reached an arm over the bar, grabbing the first bottle that found his hand. Brass winked at Tevy. “I wont break Your good Gin, Love.” Brass, with the bottle, stepped to the men, pulling it’s cork, and began to pour the cold liquor over each of their faces until they woke. Pointing to the bouncers on each side of the exit, he said: “Get these idiots out of here!…..Amateurs.” The bouncers drug the men from the casino. Returning to the bar, Brass sat the bottle down. He eyed Natalie as she talked to Tevy. Listening close to their conversation. Granted Tevy wanted to be in Natalie’s line of business, but she was too skilled and well mannered for the position. Natalie offered to teach her tricks, and Brass clenched his jaw. A woman who would provide sexual acts for employment, was in no position to be giving lessons. |

Finishing off her drink, she set the cold clinking glass back on the bar and craned her head around to the stage. One of the other girls was finishing her set and it would once again be Natalie's turn. The voice that hung overhead cut an off-key note which would have shattered glass had it been any louder. She laughed toherself and wondered what song she would sing next. Looking down the bar at the tow men now engaged in lite conversation she smiled. She liked the job, but brass was a hot head and there wasn't much a woman could do about it, and she didn't much care what he did. There was a nice person inside him though even he didn't know it. He was full of himself without a doubt and she decided to dedicate the next song to him. The girls performance exited the stage akwardly, but a ferocious round of applause greeted her as she stepped once again on the stage. Someone had change the bulbs to blue, which was befitting to her next song. Taking a deep breath, as a haze had come with her three shots too many, she stepped forward to the shotty old microphone, and began to sing "You walked into the party Like you were walking onto a yacht Your hat strategically dipped below one eye Your scarf it was apricot You had one eye in the mirror As you watched yourself gavotte And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner They'd be your partner, and..." She moved forward with a slow flourish, pointing at Brass as she sang her heart out to the old song. "You're so vain You probably think this song is about you You're so vain I'll bet you think this song is about you Don't you? Don't you?..." Didnt he? The song held the crowd silent and in awe. How long had it been since they had heard the song? Had they ever hear the song? She did not know, but it felt good. The set flew by and the crowd exploded in a roar of approval. Smiling she exited stage right and returned to the bar, ording a vodka on the rocks, oh and make that a triple vodka. |

Chase raised an eyebrow at Brass. The man obviously didn't get the nature of this relationship... ah well, brass was really an all or nothing sort. Was kind of funny, he was the fighter, the one who was always breaking bones and laying people out on their backs, and yet he was more subtle about most things... Ah well. Perhaps Brass simply didn't understand the mentality of two people who enjoyed toying with each other mentally more than physically. It was an odd concept... "Er... you're welcome, I guess." While Natalie was walking off the stage, chase looked voer at his boss again. Yesterdays trash? Didn't surprise him that Brass had already taken the singer - after all, how else did dancers get hired around here? - but it did that the man seemed bothered by that. Was what he did really that different? Of course he didnt do it for the job, he did it because he could, but still... a little hypocritical. Not that Chase was about to say so, oh no. He liked his job. Or at least being able to do it without interference. Brass may not have known it but there were bouncers on the payroll that only Chase and Kiri knew about - just in case. It wasn't to rebel against brass, but for his protection - Chase knew the man acted differently in view of employees on occasion, and the black agents, as they were called, were insurance against everything. Several of them were women, women Brass had lain with in some cases - another reason Chase kept it a secret. It was hilarious. That Brass was sleeping with women that could kill him in an instant... because each of the black agents were special in some way, had some special power, and all had been trained even more extensively than the rest.... by him. Few people knew the half of what Chase was actually capable of, since there was never a challenge... and none knew of his latent power, the one he never displayed... he looked up again as natalie came back. "You certainly draw a crowd, Miss." Like most of Chase's comments, that could be taken many ways, and he never hinted as to which one. |

Rayah walked slowly into the casino, looking outside at Ryker before shutting the door behind her. "Directions?" She asked a man walking by, then frowned as he leered at her. "Oh, come on, mister, do you really think I'd come anywhere near you?" She laughed, her head thrown back. She looked at him again to see his face red with drink and anger. Rayah started as he took a step towards her. "Heh, well, you see.. I said that 'cause I am needed right now..." She walked slowly backwards, cursing herself silently. She felt herself bump into something, and venturing a look back, she saw the bar. She cursed loudly as the man continued walking towards her. She turned and walked down the bar, her pace quick, her eyes never leaving the man. She sighed and stopped, then bent down and fished a small dagger out of her boot. She turned and planted her feet, tired of running, and watched then man as he approached. "Well, mister, I hate to tell you, but I would really like you to leave now.." She trailed off as the man stopped right in front of her, looking down at him. "You see, you've had a few too many, and I'm afraid I'm going to do something you might regret.." She watched the confusion cross his face, followed by a sneer as he processed her words. "Oh, really." he said, slurring his words slightly. She nodded, and he smiled menacingly. "And what is a little child like you going to do to me?" He asked, his eyes roaming her small frame. Rayah glared and felt the anger rising. "Child? I'm seventeen!" She said indignantly, raising the hand not carrying the dagger to punch him squarely in the face. Now, on any sober man, her hit would not have had much affect, but, according to how much he staggered after, this man was nowhere near sober. She grinned, then tripped him quickly, watching him fall with a great sense of enjoyment. Kneeling down by his fallen body, Rayah drew her dagger along his arm, drawing a small series of letters, R S I, on the flesh. "Now, this stands for 'Really Stupid Idea,' remember that." She stood up and wiped the small bit of blood off of her dagger and then raised her foot, sliding the dagger back into its hidden sheath. She walked to the bartender and smiled. "Strongest mead you have, please.." She said, yawning widely. "And could you tell me where exactly I am?" She said, blushing over her extremely apparent newness. *OOC: Uh.. Yeah.. I don't think newness is even a word, but, it'll have to work. I hope no one mind me posting here -grins- |

Rayah: You SAID I could have it! Wait, I know what happened! After you said I could have it, I got sent back in a time warp, to before you said I could have it, and now you think I stole it! Wait a few days, and then you'll realize what I mean! Kora: Uh huh, and pigs fly. Rayah: Well, actually, this one time.... | |

Chase was taking awhile for his answer, but she didn't mind too terribly. She stayed put for a few moments, before moving on down the bar to help another customer. Perhaps he would have his choice ready by the time she returned. Three drinks later, he still hadn't answered her. Had he forgotten about his own request? The fight must have gotten him all sorts of unfocused. But that wasn't like Chase to get unfocused, especially right after a fight. Sighing, Tevy gave up on waiting for Chase. She pulled herself up on a clean area of the back counter across from Keene Jada's spot at the bar and grabbed a rag to wipe her hands off with. Letting her legs dangle down, she smirked across the bar at her friend. "So, anything new goin' on in Marsotp today?" Keene Jada looked up, his grey eyes flashing as he smiled back at Tevy. "No, not really," he answered her, his voice light and his words enunciated clearly - not what one would imagine from a man that large and intimidating, though clean-cut, as he was. "City guards found one of the city's politicians dead. Murdered in his own home, along with all twenty of his personal guards." "Damne! Did they say which politician?" "Roy Helmer." "Bah. I never liked him anyways." Tevy tossed the rag down, into the sink beside her. "He always seemed so snotty and stuck up." "Perhaps so, but killing the man for being arrogant? Don't you think that's a bit too far?" "What were the killer's motives?" "Doesn't say." "Then how do you know they went a bit too far? What if he killed their mum or something?" Keene Jada gave Tevy a look that cleary said 'Really now! That's not very probable.' Tevy shrugged and sent him a grin as she noticed Natalie finishing her set and making her way immediately back to the bar. Looking back to Chase and Brass, both men seemed to have forgotten about her for the moment. She wasn't complaining. There were slow moments sometimes, which she rather enjoyed. She could talk to Keene Jada during these quiet times and catch her breath after running up and down the stuffy bar. Sending Keene a wink, she hopped down from her perch on the counter and returned to standing in front of Natalie. "Triple Vodka, eh?" Tevy grinned, but nodded and quickly got to work making the woman's rather strong drink. The ice clinked against the sides of the small glass as she pushed it forward some to Natalie. "There ya are. I liked that last song, by the way. It sounded familiar, but I can't remember where I've heard it. Perhaps you've sung it before. I hear so many songs working here 12 hours per day, you'd think I'd have them all memorized by now, but hey... It's just not my thing. I memorize drinks, not songs. That's what you're paid for." She smirked and looked to Chase. "So, you decided on anything y-" A woman had approached the bar, a look of slight fear on her face. The hairs on the back of Tevy's neck bristled and she moved her eyes so that they fell on the man who seemed to be stalking the woman. "Sir!" she called out, but it was too late. He was engaged in conversation with the woman already. Before Tevy could do anything else to prevent the barfight she knew was about to ensue, the woman had a dagger in one hand and was punching the very obviously drunk man in the face with her other. "Ma'am! Please! Dear god, what are you doing?!" Tevy's eyes widened as she watched the woman begin to write on the man's flesh with her dagger. "MA'AM!" Keene Jada stood just as the woman was speaking words to the screaming, confused drunk whose arm was in pain and bleeding. His movements were fluid as he grabbed the woman's wrist, twisting it behind her before grabbing her other wrist and doing the same to hold her in place. "Please do not get angry with me or try to do what you just did to that man, but you must understand that what you just did is not acceptable here," he said smoothly, his grip tight on the woman's wrists, but not painfully so. "Around here, when you have a problem with a drunk, make a lot of noise and let the bouncers deal with it. It's what they're paid for." While Keene Jada was handling the woman, Tevy had vaulted over the bar, using a box and her stool to do so, and was now crouched beside the man. Pulling a rag from her back pocket, she began to try wiping away the blood on the man's arm. It was no use. The blood kept spilling. Sending an annoyed glare in the woman's direction, she wrapped the rag around the man's arm, tying it tightly to at least try to stop the blood flow. "God. Crazy people these days. Killing arrogant politicians, writing on people with knives... What next?!" |

Natalie, grinned at Chase and nodded. That was what she was here for, to draw a crowd and make the Casino som cash. Tevy was granted a smile as she handed Natalie the drink and she lifted it to her lips and gulped it, like it was water. It came with ten too many years of binge drinking, but she didn't see where her drinking was a problem. It helped her deal with her job. "Are you among them Sir Chase? One of my fans?" The alcohol had already begun to curddle her brain patterns, slurring her speech slightly. The crying of agony pulled her face from him though, and she watched as Tevy moved smoothly over the bar and to the newest victim. A woman had carved something into a mans arm, which would prove to be a bloody mess. Shaking her head, she eyed the girl that had done it. She had a familiararity to her, but she couldn't put her finger on it. Hereing the question of location she rolled her eyes and called out to the girl. "Your in Lustrife Hunny. Aronia. " She said nothing more, but would more than likely conversate with the girl later. Returning her attention to Chase, she nursed her drink, looking curiously at him. He was much different than many of the men she had seen. Men Like Brass. He was calm and collected. Almost unnervable. She wanted to push his buttons in the worst way, but she would bide her time and then toy with him a little. She respected him mostly though. "How long have you been a bouncer here?" SHe was curious. She was sure this was not all that he knew. Her eyes moved to Brass. The lyrics to her song, flooded back into her mind as she watched him for a moment. Her eyes kept returning to the others every few minutes. She had an oddly suspicious feeling about the whole situation, but then she was after all a bit tipsy. OOC: It's cool Rayah. The more people the better the rpg! |
