Bones is proud to present Anime Fight! Beta 1.4b. If there are any problems then please let us know.

Version 1.4b

Upon testing the map, we have been reminded of some minor issues that can be abused within the map and are wondering if you, the forum, agree with us to fix these for the next version.

1. The amount of gold taken from the bank should be limited
2. Clones should be destroyed upon moving in the bank
3. Fix movement before duel timer is finished
4. Fix the ability to move around while on the sidelines in the duel arena

For issues 1 and 2 let me explain our test-trial. We were playing a game where one member randomed Zabuza. During mid game he managed to rob the bank with ease, taking 30000 gold, leaving the rest of us little to do against him after that. Upon our attempt to steal from the bank he had sent his clones into the vault to block our path and attack us, taking advantage of the ability for clones to walk any path without dying(unless they touch a guard). He ended up robbing the bank several times in a row. As you all well know, Zabuza is troublesome in late-game and his ability to advance to late game upon easy bank-stealing makes the game trivial.

Hmm...

Fixing number 2 is perfectly fine in my opinion. I'm certain that's a glitch to begin with.
More likely than not, the trigger just checks for HEROES instead of units. Try fixing that and making the units that run inside the bank invulnerable, just incase it might shoot them as a result.

Fixing number 1...Well it already IS limited pretty much.
A. You have roughly...what three seconds after picking up the first coin that you are killed?
B. You drop all coins upon your death.

The average you CAN get is 30k. The max being 45k, and the average is 25k.

Either way, If someone accomplishes the bank and other people fail to stop that person...Well
30k is fine enough I think.

Changing the way the bank works could be very dangerous. It might make it more imbalanced for some, and would generally be a pain to trigger.




3 and 4 are problems with people being dead when the duel timer goes off. Fixing it is difficult. And I never really looked into it with my own map because Warrior Souls II...Frankly doesn't have the 'Duel Arena' anymore. Not in the same sense, at least.
I think...It's not as much of a problem as it adds skill.
Timing your death more carefully to get that slight advantage in the duel. And so on.

The only way it can REALLY be abused is with the Bank. So you could make it so that if a hero dies in the bank, they INSTANTLY rez at the start of the bank(or in their base if you prefer).
Setting the resurrection delay to 0.1 seconds would also fix this to some extent. Making those who DO manage to pull off the glitch having earned it generally. :P


Aye, that's about it.
So, care to list the changelog from 1.400 to 1.4b? Just to compare and keep in mind?

A few more unexpected results:

Naruto, whom was supposedly been unable to pick was chosen somehow within one of our latest test runs. I think it was just carelessness on our part and will soon be remedied. Picking Naruto is a painful mistake as he is not nearly close to completed.

Another thing that slipped through was Spathis' display text whenever certain actions commence. An example would be the transformation of Vergil/Dante. He must have been using it to test things out.

Let us know if anything else arises.

I never really liked the maze because I suck at it. The only thing I would say is a possible (just an idea) start game command to turn off the bank... Just in case you want a match where nobody can use the bank...

Hmm, yeah. That's not too hard to do.

Just make a command that turns off the trigger that spawns a gold coin in the bank. And that removes all Gold coins from the bank once used.
