Yeah, I do actually prefer the old load screen, and I didn't get a chance to try it out online.. but yeah, 1.5 second delay is huge on anything... Sac is... (been a while since I played) when he stands still, somebody attacks, and he hits back for a lotta damage, right? I don't see a point in delaying it that much... I don't know about the crash bugs though... so I can't say anything on that...

Point taken into account about the load screen. Two karasus in mirror mode still causes leaks whether it solves the crash bug or not. Jin vs Jin is not as urgent as karasu vs karasu as two Jins making it to lvl 40 is highly uncommon if there is at least one good player in the game. Sacrifice also requires timing to trigger while attacks like blast field go off automatically, so it requires two fools to make one large mistake. The urgency of this glitch is lesser than others. However, it too will be dealt with. If the D bug was not fixed, we'll find alternative means then. HeartCard, thank you for being the first to actually comment on the release. -Bones |

D needs a full revamp IMO, would it be wise to disable him for the time being? I've never actually seen somebody jump at a chance to pick/get D... so I don't think people would mind him not being there... |

I find D just like Shishio/Gaara/Zabuza. I would never pick him. But if I random him, I'll use him...Far Less so in Zabuza's case, but meh. Something I purposefully neglected to mention until I saw you guys might listen to reason: Karasu can still be randomed in -mm. The game in point had two karasus that were randomed. Three if you count the one before I -ar'd. There is, of course, a VERY easy way to stop Karasu's crash bug. Remove blast field for now. You removed meteor, right? Karasu is still useable without blast field, just not amazing. Leaky hero is aggitating, but falsely remedied hero is far worse. Also: Bones, I'm wondering if I posted some of the triggers from Warrior Souls, might you implement them into Anime Fight? Warrior Souls had roughly what? 110 text commands or so? Excluding the ones used in characters-only, and the help commands, that should still come out to about 80 commands. Of course, if you cut out the commands Anime Fight has(albeit in menu form), that still probably drops to about 50 or so. You don't HAVE to credit me or the map for the triggers either. Like I've said before, the next Warrior Souls will carry over virtually no commands from the original map due to it's new workings. So if Anime Fight doesn't use them, they'll basically go to waste. |

Thank you. And we're sorry for the lack of update on progress. Our lead programmer has been working on the latest version of his own map. -Bones |

This might kill progress... PASTED FROM BATTLE.NET Battle.net Map Making PTR Following our temporary fix to address the recently identified Warcraft III exploit, we have begun preparations to implement a permanent resolution of the issue on Battle.net. As a consequence of this fix (which prevents the possibility of malicious software being spread through Warcraft III maps), we do anticipate that some functionality in current maps will need to be adjusted before it will work properly. Before deploying the fix, we’ll be working closely with the makers of some of the most popular maps to ensure that their maps continue to stay playable on Battle.net with little to no interruption. In the meantime, we’ll be hosting a Public Test Realm (PTR) for map makers to test their maps beginning on June 9th, 2009. We will also be hosting online guides to help map makers make the transition into the new patch during this process. Throughout this process we’ll keep everyone posted on any updates leading up to the release of the patch. FAQ Will I be able to play my favorite custom maps online on Battle.net? We’ll be working closely with the map creators of many popular custom maps on Battle.net to ensure that they’re consistently playable online throughout this process. Will my computer catch a virus while playing on Battle.net right now? Our temporary fix has addressed the immediate issues that have been identified on Battle.net, but we still recommend that players avoid downloading maps from unofficial sources or websites they do not trust -- be aware that corrupted maps may share the same name as other popular maps. How do I know if my map will work with the new patch? The PTR will be going live on June 9th, 2009 and you will be able to test your maps there. How do I fix my map if it does not work properly on the PTR? A guide will be up on Battle.net shortly giving more technical details on how to fix many of the issues that may cause certain features on the map to malfunction. A link to that guide will also be updated in this forum thread as well when available. For Map Makers - Transition Guide into v1.23b http://forums.battle.net/thread.html?topicId=17730193178 |

I'm sure if I had been struck by this virus stuff (which an "friend" of mine was) I would be less pissed at b.net right now... However, I am pissed at them, more so at the people who came up with the idea to infect via Battle.net though... |

The funny thing is that people have been infecting with battle.net since...StarCraft. It's just that for some reason now it's like a fad. This is going to put mapmakers ALOT more in demand for old maps that people still want to play. "dood ur mapmkr? plz fix failmaplolkthx.w3e for mah clan kthx" Well, I suppose I shouldn't release the new warrior souls until AFTER this patch. It's fine I guess, it's not done yet anyways. P.S. : The patch will screw up something ELSE also: The exploit to host a map bigger than 4mb online. P.S. P.S. : Bones- I forgot to mention this when you posted it the first time. But you said two Jins reaching LV40 is uncommon if there's atleast one good player. I...Disagree. Anytime I host a FFA where more than 1 pubber picks Jin, one of them reachs 40. Add that to the fact that I for some reason random Jin 1/3 times, and roughly every four games ends up with atleast 2 level 40 Jins. I also know quite a few people who PREFER to pick Jin. Normally atleast one of those people is in my game. Pretty much every other game of mine contains atleast two Jin users. (And strangely two Mirokus, but I digress) Edited by HeartCard, Jun 12 2009, 03:24 PM.

I don't think you're using the P.S. system correctly, HC. I don't think "postscript Postscript" makes any sense... P.P.S. Should work. |
