Gamecube does not have "roms". Heres another hint, GC emulators were not made because it was difficult to burn data to a disc. That, and try using god damned google, its there for a reason, I found a good emulator in less than a minute. |

Sigh... Okay, here is what I was talking about. As far as I know, the only so called GC "roms" on the internet are .iso disc files or files ripped from the games themselves, GC emulators are just able to play these files, which are usually 1gb+(Depending on the game, really). So just go find a torrent and a decent GC emulator, and learn the loops and know-hows of warez and pirating. |

How about an easier solution for you that would give you access to an entire new area of gaming at the same time? Buy a Wii, it's backwards compatible for a gamecube all you need is a controller for the GC and a memory card to save your games. BTW, all emulators from the point of PS1 on do NOT have roms because the games have too much data to be made into roms. If you want an emulator, you'll need to get a program to enable the actual game discs to be read. |

Wrong... There's still the ISO files for games... They're just really hard to find outside of places such as bittorrent... And you also need a good computer and a program to play them... |

Therren: You theory sucks monkeys. I play my PS2 Emulator for certain games rather than on my modified PS2. ISOs exist and are available for all the previous gen and below systems, including DS and GameCube. The only reasons PS2 is normally excluding from emulator use are: 1. Finding a Big+Flat+Wide Screen TV is MUCH easier and ends up with a much larger screen than the same for Computer. 2. Most people don't have a powerful enough computer even after a Full Clean-up program(aka Minimum Run programs as some call them) to play a PS2 game at even 25% speed. In my case, my computer is powerful enough to match up to 70%. 3. Sounds get really irritating if you can't run the game at 100% speed in most cases. Thus why normally I only use it for games I can have the sound just play at full speed on looping things like Tetris/KoF/etc games. |

Okay, so I was wrong about them not being there and I did forget about the hand-helds, but clearly I was right about console ISO files and the like not running well if at all, you said so yourself in a way (check the bold text). And besides, even if they are out there it's not worth it to bother with them since it's probably pretty likely they'll have gotten fucked up in some way. Buying a Wii would be the easiest way next to buying a new GameCube and just finding the games you want in a store. GC games are still all over the place. |

You hold a good point, however my computer is not top of the line anymore since my father is(Up until next week of January) out of the computering for the last two or three years. Albeit it's damn near good enough for virtually everything one would need. The current Top of the Line computers to date could actually run a PS2 ISO probabley at about 125-150% speed(Though I honestly have no clue how well the speed-up function works on ps2emu...Never used it). But honestly, for me the PS2 emulator is a trade-off. -25% game speed. But unlocks the ability to save at any secound even during cinematics, on up to 9 different slots that can be overwritten of course. Which REALLY helps on certain games, that way you don't have to restart the entire damn mission over. As for Gamecube: Mine can run 100% on any game I try it for...Even though that's normally only Sonic Adventure 1&2 >_> Thus for Gamecube: Emulators > Wii/Gamecube For PS2: My Comp - Emulators = PS2 Top Comp - Emulators > PS2 |

Emulators for GC don't surpass the Wii, plain and simple, because with the Wii you not only get access to ANY GC stuff but all the Wii stuff as well, which may I add kicks ass. But, IF someone has a computer that can handle GC stuff, then they may as well go with the emulators. For me, though, I'll always take the console over an emulator because there are some things computers just plain can't handle well, i.e. fighting games. |

...This is...Gamecube we're talking about. The most complex 'fighting game' on that system would be Smash Bros Melee...And you're sadly mistaken. I play ALL my fighting games on my emulator. KoF IX is one of the few games I can run on my computer at 100% speed. Therren, do you realize what you're saying at all? Or is this a Peter&Brian moment from family guy? Brian: "Do you even listen to yourself when you talk?" Peter: "Eh I drift in and out." Emulators for GC=You don't have to BUY the game, you can DOWNLOAD it for free. Wii requires you still buy the GC game. And considering GC Emulators are MUCH easier to run than PS2 emulators. On my comp Sonic Adventure 2 : Battle, Mario Party 8, and Super Smash Bros all run at 100% even with my torrenter running without limits and my media player playing in the background. The wii in general has horrid gameplay and a very glitch controller system. But I won't get into that becuase it's pure opinion, though it is a fact the Wii's Controllers are less than fully accurate, as is the (lol) thought that Wii is kick ass. In short, there is nothing the Wii can handle a Computer could not. So what exactly IS your arguement? By the way: Wii/PS3/Xbox360=Specialized Computers...GG |
