Top 5 video game moments; If we have it for anime, why not?

We have it for the anime, but we can't forget how many great moments in video game history there are. List your top 5 favorite moments, which could include anything from in game movies to a great online game you played to even something ridiculously badass you've done.

1) Resident Evil (original): I remember the most difficult thing I've ever done in this, the Advanced Mode in the Directors Cut edition of the game. I played it the hard way, with Chris, who doesn't get the same resources at his disposal as Jill (I.E. no grenade launcher, no lock pick to bypass sword key doors at the beginning). I played for literally a full day straight, and finally beat it. Most satisfying moment in my gaming life, even today.

2) God of War 2: THIS ONE IS A SPOILER! DO NOT READ IT IF YOU DON'T WANT THE ENDING REVEALED! If you do want to read it and don't care about the ending, feel free.

After killing the Sisters of Fate, Lahkesis, Atropos, and Trossil, Kratos traveled through time to face Zeus. This battle is epic and alot of fun, but it's what happens afterwards that just made me think "awesome." Kratos defeats Zeus, ready to run him through with Zeus' mighty weapon the Blade of Olympus. However, Athena sacrifices herself to protect him, revealing Zeus really is Kratos' father. Kratos immediately denounces Zeus, saying he has no father, and travels back in time to the last battle of the great Titan War. There he meets with Gaia, and using the power of the dead Sisters, travels back to his time.

Zeus sits upon his throne, consulting with his brothers Poseidon and Hades as well as Mercury and Helios. He tells them it is time to put their petty squabbles behind them, and that they must wipe out the plague of rebellion Kratos threatened to create. However, as he speaks, the statues and pillars of Olympus began to shake violently, like in an earthquake. The gods run out to the balcony, and see Gaia and the other titans climbing Mount Olympus. Upon her back stands Kratos, Blade of Olympus in hand. "Zeus!" he calls. "Your 'son' has returned! I bring with me the destruction of Olympus!"

3) Megaman X4: I remember when I was 12 and played this. It was hard as hell for me at the time, and beating it was just so satisfying. But most of all, the coolest thing was FINALLY getting to play as Zero.

4) Xenosaga Episode 1: I'm sure we all know what part I'm thinking of, anyone who's played the game up to the point of the Song of Nephilim knows about this piece of RPG history. I'm talking, of course, about when Albedo rips off his own head and stomps on it all in order to frighten MOMO into shock.

5) Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War: I made a whole topic about it, something I don't do too often. This game is hands down the best RTS I've ever played, and for any RTS fan its a great experience. With all 3 games together (original, Winter Assault expansion, and Dark Crusade expansion), you have a total of 7 playable armies, each one very different from the others and each one with its own personality. The genocidal and soulless Necrons, the honorable but somewhat arrogant Tau Empire, the fanatical and endlessly loyal Space Marines, the mysterious and fickle Eldar, the ruthless and corrupt Chaos Marines, the Imperial Guard (I've got nothing good to say about them, I find them very dull), and the ruthlessly brutal and hilariously ignorant Orks.

I can not tell, is it just me or do we all look just like

Not in order but eh,

Killing ridley in 5 different metroids only to find out he is STILL ALIVE IN METROID CURRUPTION (omg rage must buy wii and kill!!!)

The greater part of xenogears and legend of legaia. (worst gaming moment was realizing the second one had nothing to do with the first)

Playing with Dog in HL-2, that was fun.

Uhhhhh, beating the 2-d ffs (1(snes and gba)&2 on gba 4on gba&snes 5 on ps/snes emu and 6 on ps/snes/snes emu.

Uhhhhh, oh yes, this one is my number one. Almost breaking the time record on the fasted normal run of metroid zero mission. 3 sessions, 31:28 was my time with a competion of 18 percent. I got beat out buy under 2 minutes because there was one trick I absolutly could not pull off. After calculation my time and his and watching our vids, alot, I figured it would have shaved off 3 minutes and given me the record. Sadly, I could not do it.
Goodbye everyone. Heres a list of people who have my respect, if not my love:

OMFG! YOU PLAYER LEGEND OF LEGAIA?!

I DON'T KNOW ANYONE ELSE WHO PLAYED IT!

THAT GAME WAS EPIC!

If it wasn't for that game, I don't think I would have gotten into RPG's or RTS's.

I heard Legends of Legaia was a great game but I never got to play it (my ex had a copy but could never find the first disc).

1. Beating the original Legend of Zelda at age 4. I had watched my brother play it so much, that when he finally decided to hand the control over to me, I beat it completely from memory.

2. When I got two 4-kills in one round in Halo. The first one was when I had a ghost and was near the red base (I was blue) on Blood Gulch. I accidentally missed them all going forwards. I immediately went in reverse and managed to kill the entire red team; funniest and one of the best moves i've ever done. The second time around, I had the rocket launcher and was heading towards the red base on foot. First, I used a rocket and killed one guy, then shot again and killed another. Right after that, I used the rocket launcher and bashed a guy's head in. I reloaded and used my last rocket to kill the last red on the team. My teammates were so shocked that they were like, "WTF COLIN JUST KILLED THE OTHER TEAM!?" :D That all happened in less then a minute lmao.

Very satisifying.

3. Contra on the original NES machine. When me and my friend were fighting against the second boss in the game (the one which shoots acidic bubbles which speed up when they get close to you). The boss shot two of the bubbles at me at two different angles of attack. I jumped to avoid them, but little to my knowledge, I had jumped at the exact perfect moment to avoid them. There weren't any pixel spaces between my character and the acid bubbles. My friend paused the game and was speechless for 5 minutes after that.

4. On Everquest 2. This was actually pretty funny imo. My graphics card could not run Everquest 2. This pissed me off because I wanted to play it on that computer. So I researched for a few hours and stumbled along a program that actually makes the computer "think" that it can run advanced programs. Basically it uses the cpu to emulate the gpu a bit. The result: A game so slow and colors so off it was pretty damn hilarious. I refer to it as the game that looked like a bunch of moving cardboard boxes. A few weeks later I got a computer that could run it very smoothly, so smoothly in fact that it almost felt like cheating compared to the clunky game I was used to.

5. Not sure yet, but I'm predicting that when I finally beat Super Ghouls n' Ghosts on the SNES emulator, it might be a great moment considering all the time and effort I spent into getting so far.

I heard Legends of Legaia was a great game but I never got to play it (my ex had a copy but could never find the first disc).

It's only a one disk game >.>.

It's was a T game... or was it E? No matter. Anyways, I found it epic. The random battles were hard, and there were alot fo them but it was still fun. The higher level skills looked epic and the story line was *great*.

It does have a huge flaw, and that is no character development. There is just so little of it. Still, I love it.

First RPG I *EVAR* played. If I didn't play it, I don't think I would have gotten into them.

PS: Legend of Legaia 2 sucked hard.

Don't remember? She asked what a pimp was and you could tell her "It's someone who does bad things to women" and she would jump on the table and kick the shit out of that one dude.

Was funny as HELL.
