Ok..well..guys..im back in the forums!!!..i was in a state of addiction..to WoW..lol..anyways..on topic.. About starcraft..I disagree with chaos lord..star craft, IMO, was a great game in its own ways..sure, it lacked the heros and the creep diversity of war craft. but star craft was popular( again, IMO)..because it had a more military feel to it than the war craft universe.. There was no special heroes to turn the tide of battle..or to improve ones army with special buffs..there was only you..yes, you..it gives you the.."I am the hero of this race feel"..you are their general. The player decides what the fate of the race he controls will be..not some hero to act as some general in your behalf..The "heroes" of SC, i.e( Raynor, Zeratul ), were just special members of their army rank, like how Zeratul is just one of the more powerful Dark Templars..and Raynor was a well known marine..so it still boils down to you, to be the hero of the race you pick.. Basically, SC1 was actually not very different from all the other RTS games of its time, but, it had the uniqueness of having different races and technologies..an epic storyline, and some of the most memorable characters in video game history..i think thats what set it apart to make it famous during its time ( then again, there wasn't much other RTS games during SC's time that seemed easy enough for my mind to comprehed, or seemed cool enough..meh,maybe Blizzard is just very skilled in marketing and promotion of its products..).. Anyways..in this now biased opinion of mine..Protoss just look so kick *.... I can still remember hunting people down with dark templars and zealots..and SC has a nuke assault..how can a person not like a nuclear missile about to destroy an enemys base?.. <_< |

Sorry to crush your dreams but from the looks of the mothership... I am thinking the amount of resources pop cap and time that you put into putting one out... you'll be destroyed halfway into the process... |

true..the amount of time and resources you could put into one mighty unit such as that might let you lose the game..but i make sure i'll have the upperhand first before i make one..making that thing your first unit is obviously suicide..i could try improving my defense first..zealots new sprint upgrade will be most helpful at that..and i still absolutely adore dark templars!!!..killing your foes from the shadows is such sweet bliss..unless the opponent you have has detectors.. |

A little strategy tip... there is no point in building a powerfull unit like that if you could have destroyed them before you made one. |

how true..better to defeat your enemies in a quick in simple manner, rather than a slow, flashy manner which could cause you a win..that strategy applies to a zergling rush technique..but i would just like to see how the mothership would work in a game..not in a serious game..but in something like a friendly exhibition game.. |

Mabey rather than costing normal resources and supply it would be some kinda special unit. Similar to how you get a hero in WC3, you could get a flagship in SC2. It kinda has a more... military feel to it. Imagine, Giant Battle cruiser VS Protoss mothership VS ... Flying overminds/cerebrates?
Then watching as a horde of devourers and scourges wipe the field with the carriers. But my feelings on SC2 are kinda... eh-ish. I mean, yeah I'm very exited, Sc was one of my favorite games, but its probably nearly a year away minus the famed blizzard "we'll release when ready" push-backs. Just don't tell any koreans I said that, I may be killed if they find out. I'm still holding out for Diablo3 at blizzcon this summer  Ps. Don't insult the starcraft map creator, I find the Custom SC games to be alot more... unique than WC3's customs. After all you had to find a way around all the limits it presented you. Plus it was a step up from WC2, just like WC3 was a step up from SC and SC2 will likely be from WC3. |

Goodbye everyone. Heres a list of people who have my respect, if not my love: Matar, comp, Darkwield, hellpyro, snoboy, pheonix, jim, eliwood, fritos, BB and huspa. Anyone who I forgot, I'm sorry. | |

Ya blizzard doesn't have rights to diablo anymore... so if your lookin for diablo you gotta check out this other company... cause the people with the rights to it.. headed off to some cheaper company... I don't know the real specifics... just if you hear about a diablo 3 it won't be under a blizzard license. |
