I just finished Neon Genesiss Evangelion, and now I'm hungry for more mecha anime. Anybody have some good ones? |

From what i've seen of Eureka 7, it looks pretty good. If you don't mind the old gundam story, I used to love Gundam Wing. |

Well, Full Metal Panic has had some good reviews. But honestly, from what I saw of it, it sucked sh*t. G Gundam and Gundam Wing are the only Gundams I would reccomend. Seed and everything else sucks sh*t. Er, Zoids is kind of good if you like looking at mechanical animals, but the story sucks otherwise. I also know some other anime with robotic crap, not exactly mecha, but you might be intrested. |

I have seen Gundam Wing and G Gundam. Pretty cool characters and bots. the only Full Metal Panic I have seen is FumoFuu, but it was freakin awsome. I'll look at Eureka 7. |

Try Karas it's not exactly with mechas but with some kind of robotic armor. Plus it has awesome cgi-swordfighting scenes. |

I've never watched it, but i think the original mecha was something called Patlabor. You could check it out, but it's probably really old so the animation might not be that good. |

The only Gundam series I'd reccomend is Wing. G Gundam is good at first, but halfway through it starts going off on this completely *ed spin in which the main characters end up basically being superheroes of sorts. The original Mobile Suit Gundam is a fun show, but its very dated and again goes into a stupid spin towards the end. As for other Mecha based anime there really aren't all that many good ones I've seen. Escaflowne is ok, and it's a good choice if you want something more fantasy based, but it's not spectacular. However, if you want to have a very hands on Mecha experience then there is a very good game series I can reccomend: Armored Core. |

I can not tell, is it just me or do we all look just like Adolph fucking Hitler with this swoopy emo-boy dreamy haircut dangling in our faces, making us all indescribably indistinguishable from each other; or maybe I'm just another megalomaniac? | |

Full Metal Panic...really isn't all that great. Fumoffu is much, much better. That being said, FMP: The second raid is actually pretty good, although it really doesn't have much mech combat. |

Big O is horrible IMO, and one of the reasons is the exact reason you mentioned. On top of that they try to incorporate this really deep storyline with all sorts of psychological stuff that makes no sense whatsoever. Seriously, Evangelion makes more sense then Big O, and Eva is one of the most confuzing shows out there. |

You can try GaoGaiGar or Voltron but I never watched those, so I wouldn't know. |

Voltron is classic. I've heard that GaoGaiGar is one of the only shows where the heros hit the bad guys even when they're down; it might be worth watching now that you brought it up ;) |

I'm not gonna watch voltron now, because I did 10 years ago... I'll check out some of the other suggestions. I personally give Big O a 3/5, It was entertaining, but nothing special. |
