Youre so right that why i love private servers, and they dont have addictive features that retail has. As you have said Cat there are many bugs and some emus are easy to hack ( the MangOS) for example is very easy to hack and the downtimes are a problem too I play on private servers too (Actually im deveoping my own server, too) and ive found quite good ones i think the best of having a free server is that you dont have to worry about wasting your money if you stop playing for a month -.-, and as i said before ill never pay for a mmorpg because whith 10 bucks i can eat for a week lol |

Yeah, some private servers are easy to hack. But luckily, most people don't know how to hack. Those who do, don't bother playing things like WoW. And if anyone wnats some good private servers..I found these two to be the best. www.wowscape.net This one is nice. It has four servers, two funservers, one blizzlike, and one blizzclone. The fun servers have like a level max of 250, custom items, which include tier 4 and 5 models, custom spells(You can actually get spells outside your class, like a Druid with Holy Light), custom quests(no retail quests). Usually 90-15 people are on. But since you are mostly compacted to a few areas, it seems like a lot more then that. The Blizzlike has like a x10 drop rate, and x3 xp rate. So when you kill something, you usually get max XP per kill, and when you're 30+, blues and epics drop as often as cloth. Greens are like...80 percent of the time. And the Gurabashi Arena can be teleported to with a command, so thats where you find most of the players. The Blizzclone server is exactly like retail, except for x3 XP, and a few bugs. It rarely crashes(Maybe like 1 or 2 times a day, so far). And if theres any downtime, it only happens one or two days a week. Usually enough time to let you relax from WoW if you're starting to get addicted. Usually 100+ people are on. The only thing bad about this server's gameplay is the fact that the professions are harder to do. Like BS, Auction house rarely has the items and plans you need. But its still alright. Then theres Raidenwow.com. Has a 400 player cap. But thats the only thing I know about it, I know its a blizz like server, and it has like x5 XP rates, but thats all. Also, visit this site for any other private servers of any game if you guys want. Da da da da da |

what's the point of even playing on a private? I play MMO's to play with alot of different people. Most of whom I know. Last guild I was in had about 40-50 people from my school and our guild leader was my best freind ^_^. I find that funner then hitting 60 in a day...complete waste of time. 10 bucks a day? In one day of work I could easily make 50. Cmon now ppl. |

I said 10 bucks a week. 50 Bucks a day is when you are paid minimum wage. I barely make 2 bucks a day. Where I live, you can't do your crap like sell lemonade or mow lawns. And since my parents won't let me sell stuff over the internet, I guess I'm pretty much screwed. And no, you don't hit 60 in a day, x3 is just as hard as x1, with less people, less parties, longer time to kill crap, equipment is even harder to get. The economy is small, so green items usually go for like 20-30 gold, and with the economy as it is, no one can make that much easily, no one can pay for it, and it isn't easily found. Don't insult private servers until you've actually played on one. Especially when you are 13, and are not allowed to pay for games that charge monthly. Did they have WoW when you were 13? Whats the point? We play because its fun. But how would you know if you've never tried? The guilds are just as good. People help you. You can make some buddies. Around 15-25 people are on at a time, we usually have 100 members, 50 of them being below 30. The only thing wrong with that is that theres pretty much only 2 successful guilds per faction. Sh*t, I could even invite my friends, and they don't have to pay a dime to play. Yes, theres less people, so less social interactivity. But theres no problem in that. If I wanted social interactivity in the first place, I would have gone outside. |

I figured since you can hit 20 in a day at x3 the experience you could hit 60 in a day? maybe my logic is flawed somewhat but I base that off of soloing by myself. I've been where you are fritos... I wanted ffxi for a long time but I couldn't play because of the whole credit thing so I finally started working and said....dad my money...my waste ^_^ not much he could do. All I'm trying to say is that the 15 bucks a month they ask for isn't outrageous at all. It basically just pays for maintenance and helps keep blizzard alive. They were on the verge of bankruptcy so I was glad to help em out. The way I look at it is. I pay 15 dollars a month for the blizzard relief fund and in return they give me one of the best MMO's out ^_^ SWEET DEAL! |

I can not tell, is it just me or do we all look just like Adolph fucking Hitler with this swoopy emo-boy dreamy haircut dangling in our faces, making us all indescribably indistinguishable from each other; or maybe I'm just another megalomaniac? | |

When I reccomended that she play WoW. Its like crack, removes all your problems. And Insane, at x3 XP, I think the shortest it can take to get to level 60 is 10 days of nonstop playing, hell, it took me a month to get to 45. There was this guy who did it in 2 days...but we were suspecting him of cheating, though theres no proof. Anyways, what kind of job did you have? I'm interested in what area of work might pay someone 13-16. |

Well I was 15 1/2 got a work permit and worked at a movie theatre. Course ya I quit... you can work pretty young the age restrictions I think went up to 16 now. Still I believe you could probably find some sort of under the table job. Just don't let the IRS find out. They'll bleed you for all your money. You'd think in a world where children are handed guns and bombs to kill eachother in the name of a divine being. They could atleast have the freedom to work for a few hours a week....hu? btw- when your talking about 10 days of nonstop playing did you mean with x3 experience? |

Meh, guess I'm going to make money from school then. Its the best place for buisness...especially when you have certain powers. Such as controlling the lunch line :D. People pay me a dollar to get cuts, just glad I havn't been caught yet. Its brought me an extra 5-10 bucks a day on my shifts, which only comes once a week :(. And yes, the first person on my server to reach level 60 with x3 XP took 10 days(I believe, somewhere between 7-12 days). |

;-; Good to know my topic's so popular, even if I'm not But uhm, as for the psychiatrist thing, I have to see one. I have paranoid schizophrenia (Which they've been considering re-diagnosing, because I have hallucinations that are normally associated with the other types of schizophrenia), bipolar disorder, dissociative identity disorder, and ADHD ._. The therapy helps, really. But uh, therapy problems aside, I just finished my huge 12-page senior project that's required to graduate last night, and I officially quit IRC because of the *s that run rampant. Once again, free time's increasing, so I'm getting closer to being free of stress e.e'' |
