Unfortunately, you can't color the choices of a poll, so I had to do it this way. Highlight to see the names. 1: Cowboy Bebop: Spike Spiegel 2: FMA: Maes Hughes 3: Trigun: Wolfwood 4. Naruto: Haku 5. Naruto: Kimimaro 6. S-CRY-ED: Kimishima 7. Neon Genesis Evangelion: Fourth Child 8. Grave of the Fireflies: Seita I couldn't think of very many, I know <_< Anyways, IMO, 2 had by far the saddest death, especially with the funeral scene afterwards, I nearly cried the first time I watched it. |

First, in FMA, i don't think like they showed "the character" enough for me to actually cry. I know some people might think this is pathetic, but i think 4 is the saddest because the whole scene with zabuza and stuff was kind of spine-tingling i guess. (People are probably gonna hate me for saying this, huh?) |

Number 8. No.2 was sad sure, but they never gave him enough time to make it cryable. |

I'm voting for Trigun, but not for Wolfwood for a couple reasons. 1. He accepted his fate, either live or die. 2. His death was not actually sad until you saw Milly cry, but otherwise his death was actually set up to be beautiful; a very desirable type of death in Japanese culture. I thought the deaths of all the people on the same ship as vash's was pretty sad, especially since it shows how terrible the human spirit can be. Hughes death is ranked no.2 on my list of sad deaths, but again, it was only really sad after his death when his daughter was crying. |

Sad yes, but there was no build up of character. No.8 on the other hand was really sad because of all the build up, about how hard there life was and it just focused on them. Hughs... it seemed more like a "We need someone to die, how about the funny guy?" kinda deal. |

1 followed by 2... I mean I really didn't see 1's death coming..and the music that followed made me shed a couple tears at the end. But mainly cause that meant no more seasons lol. Ya I hated seeing #2 die. Such a nice guy IMO.. |

There was a lot of character buildup for him! I mean, in all the previous episodes he was portrayed as a goofy but caring family man, and really the kind of guy you would miss. That's just my thoughts, though. |

They musta just went.... "you know we've been working on this project for quite some time now, you wanna just say good guys win?" "hmm...ya, * it". |

I voted other-Anime Movie. For me it's a tie between two different death scenes: 1: X The Movie-Not simply one death scene, but three in fact. The first is the scene in which two of the Dragons of Heaven are fighting against the 7th Dragon of Earth. The Dragon of Earth tries to strike down the female Dragon of Heaven, who is barely saved when the other Dragon who loves her takes the blow in her place. When he falls and starts to die she runs to his side and tries to save him, but the 7th Dragon of Earth puts an end to them both when he runs his sword through both of their bodies. Second is the scene in which Kamui attempts to save his best friends sister, but ends up arriving too late and finds her killed by the 7th Dragon of Earth. Third is when Kamui and the 7th Dragon of Earth, his best friend Fuuma, face off on the Tokyo Tower. Each of them begin to fight, Kamui trying to talk Fuuma out of fighting. However, Kamui is left with no choice, and is forced to put an end to Fuuma at the top of the tower. When each of them throw their final swing of their swords, Fuuma's blade is sliced clean through and is beheaded in the same swing. Kamui then sits atop the tower, holding his best friends head against his body, crying over the loss of all who were dear to him. 2: Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust-Towards the end of the movie, Meier Link reaches the castle of Carmilla, the Blood Countess. When he and Charolotte Elbourne, the woman he loves, enter the castle they meet with Carmilla. A short time later, D arrives and the truth behind Carmilla is revealed. After she drains Charlotte of her blood in an attempt at re-creating her body, she challenges D with the power of her spirit. However, her spirit was no match and she was taken down. In a final attempt at ressurecting herself, Carmilla rushes towards Charlotte's dead body but is slain by Meier. When D finally finds Meier, he is holding Charlotte in his arms, devastated by her death when they were so close to escaping to a place where they could be together. |

I can not tell, is it just me or do we all look just like Adolph fucking Hitler with this swoopy emo-boy dreamy haircut dangling in our faces, making us all indescribably indistinguishable from each other; or maybe I'm just another megalomaniac? | |

Actually I busted out in tears of laughter at that first scene you described in X.. because the guy is like... live your life.. and that's usually when the other person becomes filled with rage and kicks *. But instead he kills her too. And goes "there now your back together again" LOL. I actually almost completely forgot about the one that saddened me most that was wolf's rain towards the end.. damn characters started dropping like flies. It was depressing.. course the end makes you feel better I suppose. |
