Key Values Government exists to serve the people. Members of the government, both elected and unelected, should (unless there is good cause not to be for example national security) be accountable for their actions to the people. Members of the government, be they elected or unelected, should not recieve obscenly high benefits, expenses, or salaries. Freedom of information is an integral part of accountable government. No government secret should exist without good cause (eg national security). |
